Knowledge-Led Strategic Communications for Mission-Driven Organizations
Hi, I’m Erin Shea, Health Communications & Knowledge Management Consultant, Founder of Borough Creative
I help mission-driven health organizations communicate with clarity and purpose, translating complex knowledge into communications that inform, influence, and drive meaningful change. With two decades of experience across global health, oncology, and social impact, I’ve led communications, knowledge management, and content strategy efforts that strengthen visibility, credibility, and engagement. My work has taken me from rural health posts and refugee camps to large national hospitals, collaborating with teams across more than 15 countries to connect evidence to the people and communities who need it most.
Why I started Borough Creative
In 2020, I was diagnosed with breast cancer just four months into the global COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the disruptions to the U.S. healthcare system, I was lucky to access world-class care, but the experience deepened my understanding of the disparities that define healthcare. Through Borough Creative, I blend that perspective together with my professional background to help organizations craft impactful communications for change.
